Channel Madness Round 4: Richardson, Schijns Grab Early Leads In Semifinals

The semifinal round of the 2017 CRN Channel Madness Tournament of Chiefs is under way, with the Field of Four fighting hard to make it to the finals.

Here's a look at where things stand after the first day of voting.

Terry Richardson of Hewlett Packard Enterprise is out to an early lead over Dell EMC's John Byrne. Richardson is ahead 64 percent to 36 percent. But Byrne has already pulled off two come-from-behind victories in earlier rounds, so you can't count him out yet.

On the other side of the bracket, Verizon's Janet Schijns has jumped out in front of Microsoft's Gavriella Schuster. Schijns came out swinging and currently leads 86 percent to 14 percent. This is the first time Schuster has found herself trailing in the tournament.
