The acquisition of Prestige, founded in 1989, comes just six months after Park Place bought Ardent Technologies, a Dover, N.H.-based provider of third-party maintenance for data center hardware. Last September, Park Place purchased a European enterprise storage support provider, Com-Com. At the time that deal was announced, Park Place CEO Ed Kenty said the acquisition would make it easier for his company to provide around-the-clock engineering support to U.S.-based multinational firms doing business in Europe.

In today's statement on the Prestige deal, Kenty said, ’Prestige’s nearly three decades of exemplary IT data center service will complement Park Place’s world-class support model as we expand and grow our client base throughout the UK, Europe, and beyond.’

Prestige’s co-founders, John and Elaine Dawson, James Coyle, and Mark Jones will leave the company and pursue other ventures within the U.K., the statement added. ’Elaine, James, Mark, and I have full confidence in leaving Prestige in the capable hands of Park Place’ John Dawson said in the Park Place statement.

Park Place was acquired in 2015 by private equity firm GTCR, in part to help Park Place expand outside the United States and grow its offerings through organic growth and acquisitions.

In its statement today on the Prestige deal, Park Place said Prestige holds the highest levels of accreditation with HP, Dell, EMC, Oracle, VMware, and Cisco, with support and break-fix capabilities spanning an array of vendor technologies and products.
