Hunt Departs Cap Gemini Technologies

Jim Hunt has resigned as president of Cap Gemini Technologies, the solution provider arm of Cap Gemini (No. 35 on the 2004 VARBusiness 500), Hunt tells VARBusiness. Reportedly replacing Hunt is Cap Gemini channel official Kevin Murphy. Murphy and Cap Gemini have not returned calls seeking comment.

Hunt, a member of the VARBusiness Advisory Council and former chairman of the Computing Technology Industry Association (Comptia), expects to "track numerous technology investments through his investment company 4DCo," and is also consulting to various companies on their channel programs, acquisition strategy and management issues, he says.

Hunt founded Ernst & Young Technologies (EYT) in 1996 and was CEO of that organization from 1996 until 2002. He joined Cap Gemini in 2002 to create the resale function for that company. Hunt says he led the way in building resale programs for the former "Big Five" consultancies. Prior to founding EYT, he was managing director of global system Integration for Price Waterhouse. Murphy worked with Hunt at both Price Waterhouse and Ernst & Young Technologies, Hunt said.
