Google won a big battle this week for a major enterprise cloud customer, signing PricewaterhouseCoopers to its Google Apps for Work portfolio.

Google expects PricwaterhouseCoopers to pitch Google products as a way for its own customers to move to the cloud. PricewaterhouseCoopers will also motivate its own customers to develop apps and mobile offerings on the Google cloud platform.

Enterprise customers only account for 5 percent of Google’s overall business, and the company is trying to boost that number. Bringing on PricewaterhouseCoopers, which has almost 200,000 employees worldwide, is a big step in the right direction.

HP promised the IT industry this week it will deliver an end-to-end 3-D printing system in 2016.

The tech giant says it will change the 3-D printing landscape with its Multi Jet Fusion 3-D printing technology. Right now, 3-D printing can take anywhere from 12 to 22 hours. HP promises its technology will reduce that time to just one hour.

HP partners are supportive of the move, as the 3-D printing market is expected to grow to be an $8 million industry in the next six years.
