Intel: We're Selling More Than Chips

This is ’one of the best times ever to be in the channel’ according to Intel, which said it has the resources and knowledge partners desperately need to capitalize on ROI.

’We realized that the customers are demanding more. We also know that at Intel we have a lot of knowledge. We’ve been focusing on which verticals are really going to flourish, and [how] can we, as Intel, provide more than just selling a chip. We can provide all kinds of solutions,’ said Intel Vice President Maurits Tichelman.

Tichleman said the boom in new technologies and need for managed services provide a breadth of business for resellers.

’There are many more opportunities from new devices, software and services, all that combined -- it all needs to installed, it all needs to be customized and localized,’ he said. ’And who is better positioned than a local reseller?’

Tichelman stressed that Intel’s expertise extends to software and services, hardware, and building an entire ecosystem around the Internet of Things.

’We can make that knowledge available for resellers,’ Tichelman said.
