Channel Beat: Cisco Service Provider Business Drops Double Digits In Q3

Cisco reported a 5 percent boost in revenue during Q3, with a total revenue of $12.14 billion. The earnings report marks the final one in John Chambers’ 20 years at the helm of the company.

Domestic revenue was up 2 percent, but U.S. service provider revenue fell 17 percent year over year. Worldwide revenue in that category dropped by 11 percent.

Chambers also addressed rumors Cisco would acquire FireEye, telling his audience not to ’count on’ the rumor they may have heard this week.
