Cloud-based testing, monitoring and analytics company Keynote will become part of Dynatrace, a Waltham, Mass.-based digital performance management software company.

"This merger really brings us a lot of things," said Dynatrace Vice President Todd Kaloudis. He talked to CRNtv about how Keynote will improve Dynatrace's position in the burgeoning digital performance management space.

"We're also merging with a great company, and they have great customers and great partners. And so, besides just the technical expansion, if you look at our company and our revenue, we're already the market share leader in this business that we're in, and with this merger we're bigger," Kaloudis said.

Kaloudis said the channel stands to profit from the merger, as there is a wealth of opportunities for services around digital performance.

"The digital world is extremely complex, and there's a lot of different components of value. There are outsources, there are infrastructure resellers, there are management consultants, testing services -- there’s an entire value chain," he said.

Compuware acquired Dynatrace in 2011, and the company once again became independent in 2014. It now has 1,750 employees and 7,500 global customers.

Keynote has been in the online performance monitoring space for more than 20 years and has counted Google, Microsoft and Cisco as customers.
