iPhone sales saved the day for Apple once again, as the company posted its third-quarter earnings this week.

CEO Tim Cook said the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have attracted new high-end and former Android phone users. iPhone sales were up 35 percent from the same quarter last year. iPad sales fell about 18 percent; Mac sales increased 9 percent year over year.

Cook said Apple Watch sales exceeded expectations but Apple still has not released any numbers around the new device.
