CloudLock Teams Up With CDW, PwC

Cybersecurity firm CloudLock has inked new distribution deals with CDW and PwC, CloudLock founder and CEO Gil Zimmermann told CRNtv.

’From the very beginning we’ve really put an emphasis on building out our channel program and being very partner-friendly. Initially, we started our channel program with some of the big cloud resellers, system integrators,’ Zimmermann said.

’We’re now moving into bigger distribution deals. We’ve signed a joint business relationship agreement with PwC -- we’ll be making announcements around that, [and] CDW, AT&T.’

CloudLock, Waltham, Mass., has not yet released specific details around the relationships.

Zimmermann said the partnerships came about as a result of demand from end users who see distribution partners ’not just as a shopping cart fulfiller, but really as an added-value service provider who really understands what their business objectives are,’ according to Zimmermann.

The channel relationship is common sense, he said. CloudLock wants customers with companies transitioning business to the cloud, and partners have ’been instrumental in helping customers with their cloud adoption.’ Zimmermann said. ’Security is a big piece of that [adoption].’

CloudLock also targets businesses with sensitive data in the cloud, like those in government sectors.

’There’s tremendous value in having channel partners that specialize in different verticals,’ said Zimmermann.
