Comparing Cloud Partner Programs: Verizon Vs. IBM

Solutions providers are in demand in the telecom space, and among a variety of vendors, it can be tough to single out the right vendor partner. At a recent CRN roundtable, vice presidents from IBM and Verizon sounded off on what makes their programs the right choice.

Verizon’s Adam Famularo said when partners join Verizon’s program, they become a part of the company family.

’The partners are a part of our selling team. They will get the same selling resources, the same training and technical training we provide our salespeople and our technical teams,’ he said.

Famularo said that training stays up to date with customer demands.

’We offer the most competitive margins,’ countered IBM’s Dave Carlquist, who said the most successful partners sell across the ’breadth’ of the IBM portfolio.

Famularo added that Verizon is extremely competitive on margins. ’All you need to do is to get into our top tier of our program, and you’re making some top-tier margins,’ he said.
