HP Inc. launched Partner First, the channel program that will drive sales within the brand-new company. Thomas Jensen, head of worldwide partner strategy and sales at HP Inc., said he’s personally worked on the program since last October.

’We are energized, we are ready for growth, we are ready for driving business with HP and, quite frankly, from my perspective, we need to seize that moment. That’s my call to action to our sales reps and our partners,’ Jensen said.

Partner First will aim to drive growth in product areas for the current partner base, but there will also be a big push in the solutions space.

’We are more solution-focused than ever before, and we are going to nurture and we are going to support the partners that invest in solutions,’ said Jensen.

"It’s all about driving simplicity for our partners, yet accommodating for the needs in the market."

More than 60 channel partners joined HP Inc. Monday in Palo Alto, Calif., where the company celebrated the launch of the new company.

"We see the partners as an independent extension of HP’s sales force," Jensen said.

"That’s why they’re joining our employee celebration."
