A Look Inside The Original HP Executive Offices

/**/ /**/

On the day HP Inc. kicked off its new business, it took CRNtv back to where it all began: Dave Packard's and Bill Hewlett’s original offices. HP Inc. and Hewlett Packard Enterprise have preserved the offices in ’their original 1960s splendor,’ the company says on its museum website -- complete with the founders’ original desk notes, artwork, books and photographs.

One of those photographs featured The Channel Company’s own CEO, Robert Faletra, beside Bill Hewlett.

A special feature of Hewlett’s office is a collection of coins on his original desk, which serves as a tribute to the founder. HP legend has it that Hewlett once left a penny on his desk to see whether it would go undisturbed. The HP staff had so much respect for the executive that they would not tamper with anything on his desk, and so the penny stayed.

The offices are in Building 3 at HP Inc.’s headquarters in Palo Alto, Calif.
