Apple introduced a new iPad Pro this week, which partners say is positioned as a direct competitor to Microsoft Surface Pro.

The new 9.7-inch iPad Pro also incentivizes corporate users to choose iOS over Windows 10. The device will be available for $797, a lower price tag than Windows 10 Surface Pro 4.

Apple also introduced a new 4-inch screen iPhone priced at $399, called the iPhone SE.

Both products hit stores March 31.

Fortinet partners have expressed concerns over recent departures from the security vendor -- the company most recently lost its chief marketing officer and enterprise sales chief.

A company spokesperson confirmed the departures to CRN this week, and sources say a significant number of employees in the HR department have left in recent months.

Channel chief Adam Famularo will leave his post at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, CRN learned this week.

Famularo, who has headed up the channel organization for the past 18 months, will serve as CEO of a software company.

He will be succeeded by VP Janet Schijns, a five-year channel veteran. Famularo was also knocked out of the Channel Madness Tournament this week.
