Tech Mahindra Forms Group To Drive Next-Generation Technologies

Solution provider Tech Mahindra has conglomerated a group of teams to explore cutting-edge technologies. The new group, called DAVID, stands for digital, automation, verticalization, innovation and disruption.

"A lot of it is really [about] disruption across industries and, as part of that, Tech Mahindra has really been making a lot of inroads with customers in terms of helping them strategically with some of these initiatives," said Vice President Vivek Raj.

The centralization of the different teams aligns with the giant solution provider’s overall immediate goals.

"A big part of our strategy is really investing in our platforms and solutions, which really ties into all of these teams," he said.

Raj represents the retail unit, and described a new IoT solution that tracks supply chains and integrates with retailer sales platforms in simple, easy-to-use formats.

The solution "really provides a lot of features, functions and data that today are really not catered to by any sort of packaged solution in the market," according to Raj.
