Channel Beat: Avnet Partners Support Sale Of Technology Solutions Business To Tech Data

Avnet partners have come out in favor of the company's sale of its Technology Solutions business to Tech Data this week, a $2.6 billion deal.

The deal will marry Tech Data's low cost structure with Avnet's more technologically advanced solutions, according to Avnet partners.

The deal will close early next year, and partners also said they wouldn't be surprised to see further consolidation in the distribution market following this enormous deal.

Comcast officially revealed plans this week to launch a wireless service next year after months of rumors.

Comcast hopes the addition to the company portfolio will help it retain more customers and tap into new revenue streams.

It looks like Nutanix is once again making a run at an IPO, according to a new S-1 filing this week.

In the filing documents Nutanix said it expects to sell up to 16.1 million shares of Class A Common stock, at a price between $11 and $13 per share.

Revenue was up for Nutanix's fiscal year 2016, but the company faces an accumulated deficit of $441.9 million after posting losses over the last few years.

Nutanix's first run at an IPO was in December 2015.
