’It was absolutely the right move,’ said Compugen President Harry Zarek. ’I mean I was skeptical about it at the beginning, whether they could make it work, but it is so obvious now that you have two more agile, more flexible, responsive companies than you had before.’

Zarek was one of several partners who said HP Inc.’s acquisition of Samsung’s printing business was only made possible because of the split.

’Having a smaller company that’s more focused on a particular area, I think was a good move,’ agreed Synetek Solutions and Greenlink Networks Vice President and co-founder Jhovanny Rodriguez.

’They seem to be growing and refining who they are,’ said Mark Brown, sales and business development executive at Datapipe.

’I think it does make them more agile,’ said Michael Hadley, co-founder, president and CEO of iCorps.
