More than 1 million Google accounts came under a data breach attack this week, according to cybersecurity vendor Check Point Software Technologies.

Hackers attempted to steal data from mobile devices through a new type of Android malware that the vendor is calling Gooligan.

Check Point is offering a free tool online to let users determine whether they've suffered a breach.
