Veeam Aims To Use Managed Service Provider Relationships To Compete With AWS

Asreportedon CRN, Veeam has launched a massive recruitment program for cloud services partners, backed up by more than $200 million in investments. Veeam President and COO Peter McKay explains that getting more partners to move their customers to the cloud is critical to the company's long-term success.

"The best scenario for us is that partners pick this up, we enable them with partners like SingleHop and iLand that have built this business, and we join them together." He explains that AWS and Azure are very successful cloud platforms that "are not going anywhere anytime soon."

McKay sees Veeam's market advantage coming from the relationships that partners have with customers in vertical industries and specific regions. These managed service providers have built very specific cloud programs, he said, and Veeam is eager to help them succeed.
