Tech Data's TDCloud Academy Offers Microsoft Training

TDCloud Academy will provide training for VARs around Microsoft Office 365 and Windows Intune while also teaching them to identify, market, sell, deploy and bill cloud opportunities, according to Stacy Nethercoat, vice president of software product marketing at Tech Data.

"Tech Data is committed to making the transition into the cloud a seamless process for our partners. We have recognized an opportunity in the market to step up and be the distributor of choice in expert cloud support," Nethercoat said in a statement. "TDCloud Academy provides resellers with a structured cloud training program to help them take on this new business with confidence."

Tech Data launched its TDCloud initiative in May to help resellers build businesses around being a cloud builder, cloud provider or cloud reseller.

To participate in TDCloud Academy, solution providers must pledge to use Tech Data as their distributor of choice and register as a Microsoft Cloud Partner. VARs then are granted access to the program's Web site where they can find resources, training, social interaction and best practices for several tiers, according to Tech Data.
