EnStratus Snares Cisco Cloud Vet

Cloud infrastructure management player enStratus

Urquhart will be responsible for defining enStratus' product strategy and overseeing product management to ensure they meet the demands of cloud management in the enterprise.

"We are excited to add James and his deep cloud experience to our leadership team," David Bagley, CEO of enStratus, said in a statement. "The enterprise cloud adoption and our customer demand is growing dramatically and James will be pivotal in delivering the next generation of our cloud management solution."

Urquhart brings a two-decade cloud and technology pedigree to enStratus. Most recently, he held cloud leadership roles during his three-year run at Cisco, where he was Cisco's cloud programs and communications manager. Urquhart joined enStratus just as Cisco was launching its official cloud strategy and framework, dubbed CloudVerse.

Prior to Cisco, Urquhart held leadership positions at Cassatt, where he was a senior sales engineer for more than two years, and at Sun Microsystems, where for more than three years he held roles as technical architect and product manager and architect and technical lead.
