OS33 has integrated Google Apps with its IT-as-a-Service delivery platform for MSPs giving them the ability to provision and managed Google Apps alongside their other applications.
According to OS33 CTO Alex Osipov, the integration is a step toward OS33 offering MSPs a unified cloud platform that ties together their most frequently used applications. Integrating Google Apps into its platform lets companies more easily stand-up and manage a Google Apps deployment, he said, adding that end customers are seeking out Google Apps to cut costs, move to the cloud and to start using features like Gmail and move off of Exchange.
"End users are really asking for Google Apps," he said. "And most are hiring consultants to integrate them."
With Google Apps integration, businesses can deliver, manage and consume Google Apps services as part of their unified IT solutions. Users can also leverage other tools, like Microsoft Windows and SaaS applications, from OS33's single web-based desktop, called Webtop, from any device or browser.
For service providers, the integration helps them meet the demand for Google Apps and gives them the ability to deploy and manage new Google Apps accounts for customers alongside their existing IT assets.
The integration offers access to the Google Apps product suite integrated with OS33's unified IT platform; automatic provisioning and managing of Google Apps accounts via OS33 self-service management tools; single sign-on access for Google Apps and other IT services; and support for data tags like employee director information for syncing.
The integration also gives OS33's team of roughly 30 MSPs the ability to become Google Apps resellers and offer the integration to customers.
Osipov said the Google Apps integration is in production and available for demonstration to MSPs. The integration is free for service providers, but MSPs are responsible for the Google Apps licensing fees.
