Cloud computing may be associated with larger enterprises, but Technology Integration Group says it's seeing strong cloud demand from its midmarket customers.

In an interview with CRN TV's Chad Berndtson, Bruce Geier, founder, president and CEO of TIG, said cloud building in the midmarket is starting to take off this year, particularly private cloud building.

"We've seen a lot of cloud building of private clouds that are put together for the customers under their specs and for what they want to put out to their audience," Geier said. "We are seeing a bit on the small [business] side of the public cloud."

Geier added that public cloud options for smaller businesses are vast, from larger offerings such as Salesforce.com to smaller, niche offerings from distributors such as Ingram Micro. "It's all the talk of the town," he said.

For more on TIG's cloud business, as well as its view of channel consolidation, watch the full CRN TV interview with Bruce Geier.
