ProfitBricks has gained attention in recent months by offering a new cloud infrastructure pricing model.

The company is targeting Amazon, Rackspace and other cloud infrastructure-as-a-service providers with a new data center architecture that allows users access to cheaper and more flexible cloud services with a pay-per-minute plan and the ability to change workloads on the fly.

In December, ProfitBricks announced it was giving startup companies one year of free cloud service under ProfitBricks' Foundation Program.

The program announced Monday gives qualified referral partners as much as 25 percent of ProfitBricks' net customer revenue when they refer a sales lead that signs up by March 31, 2013, Scott Brazina, vice president of Business Development at ProfitBricks, said in an interview with CRN.

Customers who sign between April 1 and June 30 will receive a referral bonus of 20 percent of net revenue. The compensation offerings will continue for the length of the customer contract for up to a full three years, Brazina said.

He said ProfitBricks is hoping to attract ISVs, Telecoms, startups and other organizations with cloud infrastructure needs.

"Partners understand that many of their customers are interested in cloud solutions, and they are looking for IaaS partners like us," Brazina said.
