Ingram Micro: VARs Need Financial Planning, Marketing For Cloud Transition (Video)

Ingram Micro is upping its effort this year to help VARs embrace the cloud, and one of the first steps is called "seeding the cloud," which helps solution providers build a go-to-market plan for selling cloud technology to their customers. Jason Bystrak, director of cloud services for Ingram Micro North America, spoke with CRN TV at UBM Tech's XChange 2013 conference in Washington, D.C., this week about the need for VARs to develop a sound financial plan before they move to the cloud. Bystrak said the first question that Ingram Micro asks its VAR customers is how many marketing leads do they have for cloud-based solutions.
