CRN Exclusive: CloudVelox Strikes Distribution Deal With Ingram Micro

CloudVelox has inked a deal with Ingram Micro to distribute the company's cloud migration and automation platform.

The distributor will help the Santa Clara, Calif. startup broaden its channel reach by including CloudVelox One Hybrid Cloud on its online marketplace, making the solution available to a greater number of systems integrators and VARs lifting and shifting "brownfield" workloads to public providers, James Kessinger, CloudVelox CMO, told CRN.

CloudVelox specializes in automating the migration of legacy apps from private data centers to public clouds, especially Amazon Web Services. It also offers disaster recovery tools and a virtual lab environment that helps developers simulate hybrid cloud environments.

The company's been looking to accelerate channel efforts since Kessinger joined at the start of the year.

"This is going to give us a wider footprint from a resale standpoint," Kessinger said. "They have a good marketing program so I can put my MDF dollars to work."

That broader channel reach will help CloudVelox introduce its solution to larger enterprises and reach new geographic regions, he said.
