ViewSonic To Go Retail In Circuit City

ViewSonic, Walnut, Calif., will provide its VA Series LCDs, including a sub-$350 19-inch monitor, through the Circuit City chain in an effort to broaden its reach into the consumer space.

Under terms of the deal, Circuit City will start stocking ViewSonic's 17-inch VA712b, the 19-inch Va912b and 19-inch widescreen VA1912wb displays; the latter is a widescreen system that will be priced at less than $350, ViewSonic said.

Several metropolitan-area Circuit City stores will carry ViewSonic's VX2025wm 20-inch displays as well, the company said.

The retailer becomes one of several ViewSonic has signed deals with, including Staples, Office Depot and CompUSA, a company spokesman said.
