A Scanner For All Seasons
Here's a scanner that can handle just about anything you throw its way. The Panasonic KV-S1025C scans mixed batches, including plastic cards such as driver's licenses and credit cards, and paper documents of various sizes and weights--at a rate of 104 images per minute. This color duplex workgroup scanner is good for any customer that has to collect lots of data to comply with HIPAA, the Patriot Act, Check 21, Sarbanes-Oxley and other legislation.
Also, it can scan long forms such as EKG reports. A special roller minimizes missed scans, and the compact form factor (12.5 inches wide, 7.6 inches deep and 6.8 inches high) makes it suitable for the desktop. Panasonic also offers a non-duplex version of the scanner, but many customers will find that the duplex unit is worth the extra $100.
Panasonic KV-S1025C, Price: $1,049 (duplex); $949 (non-duplex)
