CRN's 2015 Tech Year In Review

CRN looks back at the biggest news stories of 2015 in the technology industry and throughout the IT channel, including the HP split, Dell's EMC acquisition, Windows 10 release and more.

It's hard to believe but 2015 is rapidly coming to a close, marking the end of a chaotic 12 months in the tech world. 2015 was a year marked by giganitc vendor splits, mega mergers throughout the channel, major executive transitions and of course, the biggest technology deal of all time.

October's announcement of Dell's intention to by EMC for $67 billion was the cherry on top of a year that saw Hewlett-Packard split into two Fortune 50 companies and channel stalwart Chuck Robbins replace John Chambers at the helm of Cisco. Solution provider behemoth CSC completed a split of its own in November while others in the channel went consolidation crazy, with Fishnet merging with Acuvant, PCM scooping up the B2B assets of Systemax's North American Technology Group and SoftwareONE acquiring CompuCom's software licensing business.

Take a trip down memory lane with CRN as we take a look back at 2015 in the channel.
