Emerson Network Power Drills Down On Software Solutions As Independent Company

Emerson Network Power will be a more agile and channel-focused company now that it has spun off from parent company Emerson, Software and Solutions Manager Greg Stover told CRNtv.

Emerson Network Power spun off from Emerson late in the summer of 2016 following gradual business transformation.

’We’ve evolved to a technology company that happens to manufacture, and we just need to move faster,’ Stover explained.

In the past, Emerson could function around seven- to 10-year life cycles of products. Today, customers are looking at life cycles as short as three years. But that’s only part of the story.

Emerson Network power anticipates increased focus on software solutions around cloud, data managemen, and the growing Internet of Things, but the company can’t see growth through these business areas without the help of its partners.

’While our traditional ecosystems are very important, with some of the new technologies and products that we’re actually introducing to the market, we need an army out there that we can guide,’ Stover said.

’With the cloud and convergence and the Internet of Things, we see the channel and the MSP community as very strategic to what we want to do,’ he added.
