Davra Networks Hopes To Jumpstart IoT Channel With New ConnecThing.io Platform

Davra Networks launched a new integrated platform – ConnecThing.io – at Mobile World Congress on Monday, exclusively for its channel partners.

The Dublin, Ireland-based company hopes to help its IT and operational technology partners interested in accelerating their IoT practice with the new platform, which includes IoT capabilities like asset lifecycle management, gateway fog controller modules and business intelligence tools.

’We are very excited about the ConnecThing.io launch and initial feedback from our partners has been phenomenal," Davra Networks COO and Co-founder Brian McGlynn, said. "I am also delighted to announce that we have recently been promoted to Dell Associate Partner as recognition of our growing relationship with one of the most exciting hardware vendors in the IoT space today. This new positioning will allow us to offer even more compelling and broader solutions to our global channel."

ConnecThing.io, which McGlynn said has been under development for four years, is a complete IoT platform, including sensors, gateways and a complete middleware platform. Davra Networks' channel features gold, silver and bronze tiers for resellers.

The platform includes integrated vertical solutions, training resources for partners and vendor partner program guides to help solution providers navigate the complex, different components of the Internet of Things.

The company's flagship product is a cloud-based platform, RuBAN, which manages data from various internet-connected devices and presents it in a way that end users can easily understand. With ConnecThing.io, eligible partners will receive sales training, a dedicated account manager, marketing collaterals, and pre-sales support.

Matt Tyler, director of the Internet of Things for Wachter, a system integrator gold partner based in Lenexa, Kan., said that the new platform is helping his engineers rapidly bring IoT solutions to market.

Wachter, which has partnered with Davra Networks for three years, has worked with the company to develop an IoT healthcare virtual patient monitoring solution to reduce labor and increase safety in hospitals. With the ConnecThing.io platform, Tyler said that his employees can now take advantage of increased training resources and validated IoT solution designs as the company develops applications beyond healthcare in the energy and gas space.

"Davra Networks has been a tremendous partner to work with for IoT and collaborate on developing IoT solutions for customer … this platform helps us move our projects along more quickly and spend less on development and time to market," said Tyler. "It's allowing us to scale more effectively and gives our engineers simple tools to assemble what our customers need."

Davra Networks said that it plans to aggressively promote the ConnecThing.io platform for solution providers in 2017.
