Pomeroy has reached a deal to acquire the assets of BluePoint Data, a cloud-based MSP, for an undisclosed amount, according to the company.
The move is expected to double the number of devices being monitored and managed under Pomeroy's portfolio and bolster its managed cloud services offering, according to Chris Froman, president and CEO of Hebron, Ky.-based Pomeroy.
"[This acquisition] broadens the spectrum of managed IT services that deliver value to our clients," Froman said in a statement. "We are excited to bring to market the innovative solutions that BluePoint Data has developed."
Earlier this year, Pomeroy launched its own suite of managed cloud services, its first metered self-service offerings for its midmarket and enterprise clients.
Pomeroy, ranked No. 43 on this year's Solution Provider 500, plans to give customers a choice of Pomeroy's RMM tool or BluePoint's Monitor of Monitors platform with BluePoint's SkyNOC offering. In addition, Pomeroy will integrate BluePoint's SkyView business process monitoring dashboard into its offering, to provide end users with real-time visibility into their IT performance, according to the company.
BluePoint, based in Boca Raton, Fla., also will provide Pomeroy with its second 24x7 NOC to serve customers.
"Joining forces with a leading organization like Pomeroy will enable us to offer clients and prospects a broader set of proven solutions and capabilities," said Paul Sachse, president, CEO and executive chairman of BluePoint , in a statement.
