IndependenceIT, a Pennsylvania-based company providing cloud service deployment solutions, has announced an integration alliance with Autotask Corporation that will allow Autotask partners to leverage independenceIT's nPanel and Cloud Workspace software suites to manage cloud services from a single pane of glass.

Cloud Workspace is the company's desktop-as-a-service (DaaS) solution that manages user tasks, file folder security groups, permissions, and support services, as well as automation and provisioning.

nPanel is The company's front-end management tool, which is used to manage the Cloud Workspace suite, as well as third-party cloud services.

"We are focused on the automation and simplification of everyday, time-consuming and sometimes complex tasks, many of which involve Active Directory," said Seth Bostock, executive vice president of corporate development at independenceIT. "We sit on top of any hypervisor, such as VMware and Citrix. And we have our own software suite that our partners are able to use to deliver desktop solutions as a service.

"Full integration with Autotask enables MSPs to search clients, transfer tickets, develop quotes, manage price, order, and provision cloud services," Bostock continued. "Success in the MSP is all about efficiency and the ability to minimize efforts spent juggling between multiple platforms.

In 1999, independenceIT built its first virtual desktop, which was intended for the company's internal use only, according to Bostock. In 2004, independenceIT began looking toward the opportunity to compete in the DaaS marketplace.

"Today we are a software company focused on driving recurring revenue for VARs, ISPs and telecommunications players," he said. "We don't separate cloud services revenue versus managed services revenue very much. We look at all of it as recurring revenue. We believe that by working with Autotask, we can really simplify the entire offering for backend management, which will enable the MSPs to sell more and be more efficient."

Bostock is actively recruiting partners leveraging a remote monitoring and management (RMM) tool, as well as a professional services automation (PSA) tool, such as Autotask.

"As long as they are using both of those, they fit our criteria," he said. "Once they become our partner, they go through a whole training program that includes both technical training and sales training, delivered online and on premise."
