Senate Minority Leader Tarr said at the press conference that the Republican caucus is confident they can convert those who voted against the tax to their point of view.
However, iMedia Solutions' Faria said he doubts enough legislative members will have a change of heart and is putting all of his efforts into recruiting businesses and individuals to join the repeal effort through the Spark Coalition, an emergency mobilization effort to rally the tech community against the tech tax.
Faria said he is confident the Coalition can achieve its goal of repeal. The group has already gathered more than 500 supporters in three weeks and hopes to continue to expand as word travels about the tax.
"I think the statement here is 'watch out,'" Faria said.
