NetEnrich Looks To Make MSPs More Efficient With Enhanced IT Operations Platform

The infrastructure management services company Thursday introduced new enhancements for its IT operations platform aimed at simplifying management and automation of hybrid IT environments using cloud-based hardware and software as well as mobile devices. The enhancements include a revamped customizable dashboard that combines both an MSP's hosted services as well as externally hosted services.

Justin Crotty, senior vice president and general manager at NetEnrich, said the improvements to the platform are designed to help MSPs increase automation and free up service technicians to take on more important tasks, even in increasingly complex client environments that mix on-premise and off-premise IT.

"It's going to allow MSPs to automate as many tasks as possible and become more efficient in how they deliver their services," Crotty said. "If you have a CCIE [Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert] doing backup checks and basic blocking and tackling instead of generating new services revenue, then that's a problem."

In addition to the new dashboard, the company is adding several new features such as the Custom Escalation Matrix, which allows VARs to create a rule-based system that notifies the correct administrator for critical issues; Service Navigator, which helps VARs better navigate and monitor hybrid IT infrastructure; and Unified Alert Monitoring and Management, which gives VARs a complete view of all alerts from both internal and external systems and services.

Crotty said that even though more VARs are building reoccurring revenue streams around managed and cloud services, many of them are leaving money on the table because of a lack of proper visibility, reporting and management around those remote services. The new platform, he said, is designed to address those issues.

"There are a lot of hidden costs in delivering managed services that solution providers aren't necessarily recapturing," Crotty said. "If you really dig into those reoccurring revenue streams and managed services, there are profitability concerns, there are SLA [service-level agreements] concerns, and there's of lot of things that can hold MSPs back from maximizing that business."

NetEnrich's platform will also allow solution providers to brand the NetEnrich interface as their own. The company also hopes to entice more MSPs and cloud VARs by working more closely with them around the NetEnrich platform to help them improve profitability and better utilize their assets.

"Typically we're engaging with MSPs in a couple of different ways," Crotty said. "The first is MSPs that are struggling to build reoccurring and are sick of buying point products to address their needs. And the second is MSPs with thriving reoccurring revenue businesses but that don't feel they're making the money they should be making and need to utilize their workforce and assets better."
