Some HTC EVO 4G Users Reporting Screen Issues

According to Engadget, there have been complaints about the glass screen on the EVO 4G separating from the device and causing light leakage. Other users have reported problems with the responsiveness of the device's touch screen, according to Engadget.

Earlier this month, another HTC EVO 4G glitch appeared when some users began receiving messages of "insufficient file permissions" taking photos and video due to a glitch in the device's 8 GB microSD card. Sprint subsequently released an over-the-air update to address the issue.

Despite these glitches, the 4G EVO is a game-changing device that has had an impressive debut. The device boasts a high-resolution to a 4.3-inch touch-screen, a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, an 8-megapixel HD videoand still camera and a second 1.3-megapixel camera. It's the first device to run on Sprint’s 4G WiMax network, and it also comes with a built-in mobile hotspot for up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices.

Sprint launched the EVO 4G June 4 and said it set a single-day sales record, although the company initially overestimated how many EVO 4G units it actually sold. Nonetheless, the EVO 4G has helped Sprint steal at least some of the buzz and media attention around last week's launch of the fourth generation iPhone.

Whenever Apple launches a new iPhone, customers of other carriers have flocked to AT&T to sign up for it, but Sprint is confident that the EVO 4G will be able to counteract this trend. Sprint thought the Palm Pre would be enough to shield it from the iPhone 3GS, but that turned out not to be the case.
