The Droid Pro also has several security features not present in the Droid2 or Droid X, according to Motorola. Those features include a more complex password system that utilizes case, numerics, special characters and passwords longer than seven characters; password expiration on a pre-described schedule; password history; and password recovery that allows IT managers to help users recover a forgotten password.

In addition, the Droid Pro features a VPN client that can create a secure "tunnel" to various commercially available VPN corporate networks and device management software from Trust Digital and Sybase Afaria that provides an IT department the features it needs to manage devices remotely, according to Motorola.

Business-friendly e-mail features in the Droid Pro not found in other Droid phones include: subfolder syncing; smart forwarding of attachments stored on the server; easy setup of an Exchange account; spell check; rich text composition and font customization.

Unique calendar features to the Droid Pro include the ability to forward a meeting request to uninvited attendees directly from the device; the ability to respond to a meeting request with a proposed new time and the ability to check the availability of invited attendees.
