3 Reasons Windows Phone 7 Smartphone Is A Keeper

Microsoft has finally delivered a smartphone based operating system that provides big benefits for smartphone lovers with its Windows Phone 7 offering.

Windows Phone 7, likes it namesake PC operating system, gives the software giant a worthy competitor to significantly increase its phone market share against the likes of the Google Android operating system and the Apple iPhone.

Here are three reasons that Windows Phone 7 Smartphones, which was launched on Oct. 7, are a better choice than Google Android or Apple iPhone offerings.

1. A Better Smartphone User Interface

Microsoft has always done a great job of stealing user interfaces and putting its own great spin on them. Remember Windows took the Mac user experience, which took the Xerox PARC (Palo Alto Research Corp) breakthroughs, and brought them to the masses. That's exactly what Microsoft has done with Windows Phone 7 Smartphones.

Do the head to head comparison against Google Android or Apple iPhone and you'll find that it is no contest: the user configurable interface for Windows Phone 7 smartphones makes it easier and faster to get what you want when you want it. The Windows Phone 7 smartphone tiles, which allow users to place content that they want instant access to, are a game changer for users that up until now have been forced to navigate other smartphones like rats running through a maze.

2. Better Integration With Microsoft Bing, XBox And Office

Apple iPhone has succeeded by controlling all aspects of a user experience to provide a compelling experience. Google Android has opened up that experience. But Microsoft Windows Phone 7 smartphone delivers best in class integration with Microsoft's other franchise offerings like Microsoft Bing search, Xbox gaming, Zune music and of course Microsoft's legendary Office products.

That integration is a huge advantage for Microsoft Windows Phone 7 smartphones given the huge installed base for all those products. Look for Microsoft Windows Phone 7 smartphone integration to only get stronger. Apple's iPhone smartphone is an island. Google Android based smartphones a world experience. But Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 smartphone is a universe.

3. A Better Social Smartphone Experience

The biggest breakthrough for the Windows Phone 7 smartphone may well be its social networking savvy.

The Windows Phone 7 smartphone People Hub pulls in Facebook status updates from friends as well as providing an instant link to phone numbers and contact information. What's more, users can instantly respond to updates or send a text message right from the People Hub rather than having to find and launch a particular app like Facebook or Twitter.

The Windows Phone 7 smartphone Hubs also update live, pulling in pictures and information. That means users can get to the information they need -- including Facebook updates, phone messages and email, faster than Apple iPhone or Google Android.
