We have a new winner: Samsung's Series 7 Chronos has topped the CRN Test Center's all-time notebook performance chart.

Samsung's 17-inch notebook (not to be confused with Samsung's Chromebooks) is a workhorse desktop replacement rather than an ultrathin laptop. The version used by the CRN Test Center ran Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) and features an Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge quad-core processor with 2.3-GHz clock speed, as well as 8 GB of memory and a 750-GB SATA II hard drive.

There's also a discrete GPU for maximum graphics power: the AMD Radeon HD 6750M PowerXpress mobile graphics processor. To see the Series 7 Chronos' top benchmark scores, as well as some of the notebook's other perks, watch the full video review.
