Video: Tablet Takeover? VARs Discuss The iPad Effect In The Channel

Solution providers say they see tablet adoption growing across a number of different vertical industries, and many expect the trend to continue.

During the recent XChange 2012 conference in Dallas, CRN TV asked attendees about what they see happening in the tablet market. Solution providers discussed how their customers are putting a greater emphasis on mobility and where they are seeing tablet adoption increasing the most.

"I do a lot of business in the government sector, and a lot of them have started transitioning their employees to the iPad because of its flexibility and uses," said Ed Taylor of RTL Networks in Denver.

Solution providers also weighed in with their predictions for the tablet market. While some think the iPad will remain the dominant tablet, others feel Microsoft will have a big edge because Windows is so prevalent in corporate networks and Windows 8 devices can be easily integrated into those environments.
