Apple debuted its new iPad Mini to a relatively modest crowd at the Boylston Street store in Boston on Friday. By Apple standards, the smaller iPad drew a shorter line, but those waiting in the brisk November air were enthusiastic about the release.

The iPad Mini has a 7.85-inch screen and a starting price of $329, which is more expensive than Amazon's Kindle Fire HD and Google's Nexus 7. Stores are currently only selling wi-fi capable versions of the new tablet.

CRNtv was on the scene to check out all of the happenings.
