5 Things To Know About Google's Pixel 2 Lineup

Google unveiled its second-generation Pixel phones on Wednesday, and it's clear the company wants to be seen as serious alternative to Apple's iPhones and Samsung's Galaxy phones.

Here are five key things to know about Google's new phones.

First is that there are two sizes. The Pixel 2 is 5 inches and the Pixel 2 XL is 6 inches. Both have OLED screens, but the bezel on the Pixel 2 XL is much smaller than on the Pixel 2.

Second thing to know: Neither phone has a dual camera, but Google claims that the 12-megapixel camera has enough features to make it a top choice regardless.

No. 3: Both devices are pretty rugged with a good rating on water resistance and Gorilla Glass on the screens.

No. 4: Both phones have a hefty amount of RAM at 4 gigs and a top Qualcomm processor for plenty of speed.

And lastly, the price difference between the two phones is significant: the Pixel 2 starts at $649 and the Pixel 2 XL starts at $849. For the Pixel 2 XL, you'll be paying prices that put you higher than the Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8 Plus, but still not nearly as high as the iPhone X.
