Here's How To Build A Customized App In Less Than 15 Minutes

Schneider Electric showed off its AdaptiApps solution to CRN, which allows users to build totally customizable apps in less than 15 minutes.

AdaptiApps is a cloud-based offering that utilizes drag-and-drop design with prebuilt widgets that can be altered for multiple functions and usability features.

’It’s very easy to make an application,’ said Joel Desire, StruxureWare integration product manager at Schneider Electric. ’When you design an application, it’s automatically available in iOS, Android, MacOS, Windows and Linux.’

Desire showed off a hospitality application that allows users to request maid service, utilize their mobile devices as remote controls, control room temperature and lighting, and request wake-up alarms. That app was built in less than four hours, Desire said.

’The concept of AdaptiApps is that we digitalize the real world using widgets,’ Desire said. ’These widgets are communicating using Web services, and we let our system integrator aggregate that and create this unique application.’

Desire showed off another app that was built in 12 minutes.
