The line for the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus snaked around several blocks outside the downtown Boston Apple store. Hardcore fans secured their spots at the front of the line and camped out all night, but even those waiting in the very back had shown up at 6:00 a.m.

’We’ve been out here for at least 13 hours, plus,’ said one fan, Alex.

’It’s been a very long night for some,’ said developer Josh Rufer.

They were no rookies to the waiting game on Apple Store release days, and most of the people CRNtv talked to in line had camped out for past iPhone editions before. This time around, they expressed excitement over the phones’ brand new features, including the 3-D touchpad and boosted processing power.

Fans said the phones continue to draw a cult following because of their intuitive interface.

’The reason why Apple is so popular is it’s so simple to use,’ said Mark, who had waited in line for more than 13 hours.

Will Apple’s future launches continue to draw these dedicated crowds? According to this morning’s fans, the answer is yes.

’I don’t see it dwindling at all,’ said Rufer. ’This line is just as long as it was last year, if not longer.’
