Smart solutions took center stage at "CES Unveiled" on Monday, with gadgets ranging from a sensor-embedded tennis racket to an intelligent washer/dryer.

Paris-based Smart Me Up showcased facial recognition software that pinpointed a person’s age, gender and emotion. CRNtv tested the technology and found it both accurate and flattering.

Zepp Labs, Los Gatos, Calif., showed off its smart sports solutions, which included a tennis racket loaded with sensors. With the technology, doubles partners can analyze one another’s stroke and reaction times.

Imagination Technologies displayed its "IoT in a Box" solution, Creator Ci20. Creator Ci20 targets Linux and Android developers looking to build IoT solutions, but also has applications for student communities.

Marathon Laundry Machines CEO and founder Glenn Reid was in Las Vegas to promote what he calls the ’Tesla of appliances,’ the Marathon washer/dryer. The machine both washes and dries clothing, but also features a touch screen and the ability to remember particular settings for each user.
