HP Inc. Launches Elite X3 Solution For Mobile Productivity With Big Channel Play

HP Inc.’s new mobile productivity solution, the Elite X3, addresses the ’fundamental shift’ in how office workers operate in the modern economy.

’Work is no longer a place you go to, it’s a thing you do,’ said HP Inc. Vice President and General Manager Michael Park.

The Elite X3 is one device ’that’s every device,’ according to Park. The phablet can be connected to any large monitor through a desktop dock, as well as a keyboard, mouse and printer.

’So your phablet is now a desktop,’ Park said. ’And you have the full fidelity of the keyboard and the mouse, with the desktop computing experience, all powered from this device.’

For road warriors, HP Inc. has developed the mobile extender, a companion to the Elite X3. The ultrathin notebook pairs wirelessly or via USB to the phablet, and comes without storage or a motherboard. It is completely powered by the phablet.

Park said the release isn’t just a hardware play and the solution will also be a landing point for all future mobile applications.
