Zultys Technologies Taps Paracon For Channel Distribution

For Zultys& growing cadre of channel partners, the Paracon addition should lead to increased product availability, which of late has been insufficient, said Terry Janocko, vice president of U.S. channel management at Zultys, Sunnyvale, Calif.

“Paracon will be a large stocking distribution partner. We haven&t been able to meet demand because we haven&t had a large enough partner,” Janocko said. Zultys currently counts 200 U.S. partners among its channel ranks, including approximately 40 added this year, he said.

The Greenville, S.C.-based distributor also will offer increased sales and support as well as credit and financing services.

Jonathan Shannon-Garvey, president and CEO of Washington Technical, said Paracon&s financing and credit lines could come in handy if the Kirkland, Wash.-based solution provider&s upcoming marketing campaign drums up a lot of new business.

“We could be in a position where financing is attractive,” Shannon-Garvey said.

Janocko has been focused on building Zultys& distribution strategy since joining the company in May. Zultys added Computerlinks North America, Austin, Texas, as another distribution partner this summer and maintains a partnership with Computer Telephony Distributing, also from Greenville, S.C. Two smaller distributors have been cut.

The new partnership also could open the Zultys product line to a new group of channel partners, said Clay Sorensen, president of Paracon, which offers converged telecom products from vendors such as Intel and NEC.

“Zultys is a pure IP solution that&s more of the 3Com/Cisco/ShoreTel variety. It&s something we need, and something our solution providers have asked for,” he said.
