Sprint Inks Content Delivery Deal With RealNetworks

Business and financial news from such outfits as ABC, NPR News and CBS Marketwatch; weather updates from The Weather Channel; and sports highlights from Fox Sports are now available to PCS Vision customers.

The content is delivered by Seattle, Wash.-based RealNetworks' RealOne multimedia player to PCS Vision phones.

Customers with full-color Java-enabled PCS Vision phones can purchase the service today for an additional $4.95 a month.

By the end of second-quarter 2003, Sprint PCS had 2.1 million Vision customers, according to Overland Park, Kan.-based Sprint. In addition to the content delivered via the new RealNetworks relationship, Vision customers have access to the Internet, e-mail, audio and video clips and games.
