Change monitoring software company Tripwire unveiled a new product to manage network configuration across the enterprise.

The product, dubbed Tripwire for Network Devices (TND) 3.0, monitors changes made to routers, switches, firewalls and other network assets running in multivendor network environments.

Wyatt Starnes, president and CEO of the Portland, Ore.-based company, said the software was expected to be available for resale by channel partners immediately.

"To provide complete network configuration management, enterprises must monitor and report change based on known and trusted configurations with the ability to verify conformance across the network," he said. "TND 3.0 delivers on all accounts."

The TND 3.0 device is an upgrade from previous versions of the product that performed similar change management functions. In the new tool, validation against baseline configurations helps network staff to discover and recover from human errors and keep pace with business demands.

Other features include scalable management of device configurations, version control, correlated change reporting and audit logging.

Starnes said TND 3.0 was developed in response to growing interest in better strategies to enable network uptime and solutions for mounting corporate governance demands.

The product was scheduled to be priced at $19,900 for 100 licenses.
