Verio Reactivates Channel Incentive Program

The program, dubbed the viaVerio Consolidator Promotion, was formally reactivated on Monday and will run until June 30 of this year. It was initially launched in late 2002.

Through the revised promotion, Verio will pay $100 to $1,000 for each small to medium enterprise (SME) account that partners migrate to Verio. According to John Bell, vice president of Verio's SME hosting sales and marketing, the promotion is designed to simplify partner hosting businesses by moving all accounts to one provider.

"Through viaVerio, the Consolidator program gives solution providers delivering shared and virtual private server hosting an advantage in this competitive market and simplifies their business process," he said. "[It also continues] to demonstrate that our partners are a cornerstone of our business."

Bell said the Englewood, Colo., company will assist reseller partners that are transitioning a large number of accounts, waiving the hourly charge for its migrating service.

Maximum payout per reseller is $25,000 total during the promotion period--a goal that has some resellers swinging for the fences.

Simon Rimmington, president of Radical Webs, a Verio SME partner in Hollywood, Fla., said his company has migrated nearly 20 accounts already and predicted it was on track to ink substantially more before the end of June.

"In this competitive market, we rely on Verio's team to help us offer our customers an attractive solution at a lower cost," he said. "We're able to grow our business, and we look forward to growing our relationship with Verio."
