Enterasys Lowers First-Quarter Guidance

The networking hardware vendor now projects revenue for the quarter to be $103 million to $105 million, down from earlier projections of $109 million to $113 million.

Enterasys said lower-than-expected sales through stocking distributors and lower-than-expected service sales led to the revenue shortfall. The company said sales through distributors were lower than expected because distributors delayed shipments in the final days of the quarter.

Enterasys is slated to report its first-quarter results after the market close April 24.
